AYUR = LIFE
VEDA = KNOWLEDGE
Ayurveda, the sister science of yoga, translates as knowledge of life and encompasses the idea of how to live holistically. In particular, it is the knowledge of how to live according to your unique and individual constitutional make up (your Dosha).
Learning and understanding more about Eastern medicine and Ayurvedic practices can be a wonderful way to support both our physical and mental wellbeing. By using ancient techniques to help manage and even prevent common lifestyle diseases, we can take our health back into our own hands. This doesn't necessarily mean it is a replacement for Western medicine, but it can certainly work alongside it in order to create a more holistic approach to life.
The workshop will begin with a guided meditation, followed by an overview of what Ayurveda is. You'll then go through a Dosha test to discover your unique constitution, before discussing how you can implement Ayurvedic practices into your daily life. Tea and snacks will be provided and all attendees will receive an e-book with information and 2 Ayurvedic recipes.
